Membership, types of membership and Partnership
Membership shall be chapter based. Each chapter shall have a maximum of forty (40) ordinary members including a limited number of thirty-one (31) founder members. The chapter shall from time to time enlist an additional member need be, to the nine (9) vacancies. An Ordinary member refers to Founder members and Individual members.
Founder Members
These are members who founded the Organisation. Shall attend all General Meetings and Extra Ordinary General Meetings of the Organisation. Shall elect and be elected as leaders of the Organisation. Shall ensure the sustainability of Organisation.
Individual Members
These are individuals with important contribution in the society. The General Meeting shall adopt them as part of the Forty ordinary members. They shall support the existence of the Organisation.
Associate Members
These are associations and youth organizations that would wish to become members of the Organisation. Through this membership, working partnerships will be developed. This membership will open to all youth organisations and youth related organizations. Shall attend the General meeting as observers.
The Organisation shall work in partnership with all youth organisations and similar minded organisations within the East African Region and outside the Region.
Requirement for membership
¨ Founder members will have to pay fifteen thousands (15,000) as an entry fee and five thousands (5,000) per annum to retain their membership.
¨ Normal members should pay ten thousands (10,000) as an entry fee and five thousands (5,000) per annum to retain membership.
Associative members should pay hundred thousands (100,000) for being a member and fifty thousands (50,000) per annum to retain their membership.
